1. Did We not expand your breast for you – Muhammad, with Prophethood and other things –

2. …and remove from you your load

3. …which weighed down your back? An aspect of that is the words of Allah Almighty, “So that Allah may forgive you your earlier errors and any later ones.” (48:2)

4. Did We not raise your renown high – so that you are mentioned together with Allah in the adhan, iqama, tashahhud, khutba, and other things?

5. For truly with hardship comes ease;

6. …truly with hardship comes ease. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, experienced harshness from the unbelievers but then had ease when he was given victory over them.

7. So when you have finished the prayer work on – strive in making supplication –

8. …and make your Lord your goal – and entreat Him.
